The first MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines have been sold to Viking and OTAM
It is one of the brands most chosen by the great yacht builders.
The high-performance 2000 M96 series engine has received a power boost.
Rolls-Royce has increased the power of its MTU Series 2000 M96 12-cylinder engine from 1,432 kW to 1,472 kW, equivalent to more than 2,000 hp.
The outstanding characteristics of the engine, such as acceleration, maneuverability and silence, make it suitable for luxury yachts and recreational fishing boats especially.
With the increase in power Rolls-Royce now better responds to customer requirements. The MTU 12V 2000 M96X engine is now available.
By increasing the power of the engine, therefore improves its performance, without compromising its durability.
Since its debut in 2015, the Series 2000 M96 has been a reliable and efficient yacht engine.
The first of the new M96X engines has already been sold to Viking and OTAM builders, who will present the first yacht equipped with these more powerful engines by the end of the year.
