Mercedes-Benz Sailing Team returns to competition
The Mercedes-Benz Sailing Team returns to competition in the J70 class in the waters of Vigo, to participate in the Villalia Luxury Villas Trophy, as a regatta prior to the Spanish Open on October 2, 3 and 4.
In this return to action the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Team, which competes under RCN Barcelona and RCN Arrecife, will have the crew of Luis Martínez Doreste, Ricardo Terrades, Germán Panei and Manuel Carrión.
Ricardo Terrades, Project Manager of the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Team, explains that “we are very happy to be racing again. Our team is very excited and eager to get back into shape and with great enthusiasm to return to compete in the waters of the Vigo estuary, first in the Villalia Luxury Villas Trophy that has to serve as a set-up for the Open de Spain”.
In its commitment to the environment, the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Team will have innovative sunglasses from the Spanish brand Kahaway that, in addition to being polarized, are floating, so they do not sink and do not pollute the seabed. On a technical level, the team will continue with the North Sails sail shop, in Musto Clothing as technical equipment.
