Virtual Goldens Globe Race
One year to go, the organizers of the Golden Globe Race have presented the Virtual Golden Globe Race 2021
The official game developed by RealSail begins on September 12 with the stage between Les Sables d’Olonne and Lanzarote.
It is the first game in the world equipped with astronomical navigation, it proposes a version with scales of the original route around the world alone.
RealSail for the Virtual Golden Globe Race 2021 is based on Class 32 boats, emulating those that participate in the real regatta.
All coordinates are hidden, the skipper will not have GPS and will have to be guided by the stars. For this reason, the Stellartium system has been incorporated, which shows the map of the stars that are seen from the ship itself.
With this the player can establish his position with astronomical navigation calculations and can use a nautical chart to mark and plan the route.

Stage 1: Departure on September 12, 2021 – Les Sables d’Olonne to Lanzarote
Stage 2: Lanzarote to Cape Town
Stage 3: Cape Town to Hobart
Stage 4: Hobart to Punta del Este
Stage 5: Punta del Este to Les Sables d’Olonne
On September 4, 2022, the Golden Globe Race 2022 and the virtual regatta will begin together.
