Triton 3300/6 Luxury Submarine
Private submarines have become all the rage lately in the superyacht world.
The Triton 3300/6 luxury submarine is the first unit to allow such deep dives with so much passenger capacity.
Built by Triton Submarines, the 3300/6 is the first six-occupant pressure-acrylic hull submersible certified for dives of more than 1,000 meters.
It also has the largest spherical and transparent passenger compartment in the world, with a 360-degree window to the outside ocean, to live unforgettable experiences in the depths from “a living room under the sea”
The interior volume of this triton is five cubic meters, enough to accommodate half a dozen ergonomic leather seats.
Made of acrylic resin, the dial has an outer diameter of 2.5 meters, and the color of the submarine and seats can be customized.
With its 4 two thrusters of 12.5 kW each, it advances at a speed of three knots calmly while discovering the world under the sea. It is equipped with a 20,000 lumen LED light kit.
The Triton team worked in collaboration with the owner, the company SEMarine, for the integration of the necessary systems on board the yacht. The design and construction process took two years
“Following the development and groundbreaking success of the Triton 36000/2 (LF), which achieved the world record for deepest immersion, it was enjoyable to design another submersible milestone,” explains lead project designer John Ramsay.
“This time, the focus was more on luxury and the guest experience than extreme depth. I am especially proud of the level of comfort and space we have achieved in a submersible,” he notes. He also highlights how his team has achieved a lightweight and compact submersible, as well as the new crane lifting system.
Patrick Lahey, president of Triton, confirms the growth in demand in the submarine market, his company has delivered the twelfth submersible.
The price of the private submarine could be around 4 million euros.
