THE 17TH PALMAVELA REGATTA IS BACK IN 2021

THE 17TH PALMAVELA REGATTA IS BACK IN 2021 INCLUDING AN OFFSHORE RACE

The two regattas of the Real Club Náutico de Palma will be held from May 1 to 9, 2021. The Organizing Committee announces the news of the inclusion of an offshore regatta for large lengths, IRC, ORC and boats with reduced crew A 2.

The ‘long’ PalmaVela will have a route of between 150 and 250 miles that will take place in the waters of the Balearic archipelago and whose starting signal will be on Sunday, May 2. On Wednesday, May 5, the regular program of the “inshore” races of the PalmaVela regatta will begin.

“When last September we were forced to postpone the 17th edition of the PalmaVela definitively to 2021, we pointed out that we already had next year in mind and that we would organize and celebrate it, if possible, with more enthusiasm than ever. Since then we have continued working to make it so, trying to improve the PalmaVela in every possible way. The inclusion of the long regatta, in our opinion, makes this regatta a reference in the Mediterranean even more attractive for competitors and the public ”, states Emerico Fuster, president of the RCNP.

The announcement of regattas for the 17th edition will be made public on the official website of the event www.palmavela.com, on Friday, January 15, 2021.
