A runaway boat circling dangerously close to shore
A marine rescue unit chased a runaway boat in Florida, avoiding injury to those in the water, after its helmsman was thrown overboard.
The navigator had been thrown overboard and was floating in the water almost a kilometer from shore. The man had called 911 from his phone while he was floating in the water, and he was rescued safe and sound.
The rescue office confirmed that the boater was not wearing a life jacket or lanyard, causing the boat to turn dangerously close to shore and people.
