Pro Sailing Tour Final Rush postponed

The start of the Final Rush postponed to Monday 10:30 am

A short but intense gale is expected off the Var coast and should sweep the port of Toulon tomorrow Sunday at 2pm, generating winds that can reach more than 30 knots.

If manageable offshore, these conditions are difficult to practice for a departure as close to shore as possible, in the port of Toulon. Therefore, the race management made the decision, in consultation with the crews and the organizers, to delay the start.

It will be taught on Monday at 10:30 a.m. M. And the six Ocean Fifty will head directly to Brest.

Gilles Chiorri, Race Director: “The Race Direction had been studying the weather situation on Sunday for several days. The strong west-north-west flow in the Gulf of Lion and on the Var coast made the situation difficult at the beginning of the course. Given a real improvement from Monday morning, the race management preferred to postpone the start to Monday morning to allow conditions to improve. ”
