Otam confirms once again its strong identity and intention to build yachts characterized by extreme customizations with very high performance and reliability, which make craftsmanship the distinctive feature of the Italian shipyard. Proof of this is the newly launched Otam 70HT, which will make its world debut to the general public at the 2021 Cannes Nautical Festival, from 7 to 12 September.

Design signed by BG Design Firm, engineering and hull lines conceived by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design in collaboration with Otam, the new Otam 70HT is the symbol of extreme performance and timeless style that has made the Italian brand immediately recognizable around the world. .

“The design is heavily inspired by the world of aeronautics and luxury sports cars,” says BG Design Firm. “In the design of this new 70 feet it was essential to respect the identity of the Shipyard, taking into account the proportions and lines that have always distinguished Otam yachts.”

Great attention has been paid to the details and stylistic features already typical of the OTAM brand, such as the low center of gravity, the large air intakes on the deck on the sides of the bow sundeck, as well as on the hardtop. This recalls the shapes of a stingray, emphasizing the sensation of movement and aerodynamics. All intakes convey air directly to the large engine room as in all Otam products. The engine room vents are cleverly integrated and concealed aft to the side of the swim platform, emphasized with lights that become another strong distinctive design element.

Extreme customization, as for all Otam yachts, is a trademark and clear corporate choice. With a total length of 22.30 meters, a beam of 5.40 and 21 degrees of unevenness ensure incomparable navigability, comfort with the highest standards for a fast luxury cruise with extraordinary efficiency.

The owner of the first Otam 70HT wanted a cabin and lounge with a sofa on the port side, to accommodate a large number of guests. An interesting design feature is the up and down glass wall that separates the interior saloon from the cabin, specifically requested by the owner. The window fully retracts between the two C-shaped sofas and when lowered it creates a single great outdoor environment, allowing the owner and his guests to interact regardless of whether they are indoors or out. The new 70 HT offers a comfortable aft deck over the tender garage and a second, also of considerable size, is positioned at the bow and integrated into the central muscle.

“The owner himself designed a custom 3-cabin layout, chose not to have the auxiliary garage, to maximize the beach club floor space and optimize weight for maximum performance. In fact, no OTAM is the same as the other, this is the uniqueness of the Shipyard that chooses not to limit its clients but allows them to build the ideal boat that reflects their personal needs and aesthetic taste ”, explains Matteo Belardinelli, Commercial Director. from OTAM. These are just a few examples, among the countless options available, of how this yacht can be customized according to each individual request.

As for the interior, the futuristic dashboard, also designed by BG DESIGN FIRM, is inspired by aeronautical and automotive design reminiscent of an airplane dashboard.

Various options are also available for the lower floor where Otam does not impose simple solutions but, on the contrary, designs the interiors with the Client, always delivering an exclusive and unique final product. This first unit features a three-cabin layout, with the owner’s suite, separate kitchen, two guests, and forward double crew cabin with separate access for maximum discretion. However, customers are free to refine their design and in-house solutions: unlimited customization is OTAM’s calling card synonymous with world-class craftsmanship.

The helmet no. 1 is equipped with two 2000 horsepower MTU engines, along with Arneson transmissions and custom OTAM-Rolla propellers. The shipyard also offers the most powerful version with CAT of 2400 CV, which offers a maximum speed of 53 knots that combined with the hull designed by Marine Design by Scorzoni Tagliavini and Moltedo ensure an efficiency difficult to match. To achieve the best comfort at sea and at anchor, the hull can be equipped with Seakeeper gyro stabilizers.
