Giovanni Soldini and the Maserati Multi 70 team are forced to give up their attempt to break the Monaco-Porto Cervo record.

Soldini says on board: «As soon as we left Monaco, a rudder was released with 45 knots of wind and a lot of swell. Under these conditions, it is too dangerous to put it back into operation. We will evaluate whether to make a direct route to La Spezia or stop at an intermediate port. We will try again as soon as possible! ”

The Italian trimaran left Munich at 22:07:18 local time on March 13 to try to break the record of 7 hours, 53 minutes and 31 seconds set by Brian Thompson in 2016 aboard the MOD 70 Phaedo3.
