Thanks to the integration between Garmin and Mercury Marine, engine data and the VesselView system are directly visible and manageable on Garmin chartplotters.
The integration between Garmin and Mercury Marine engines will make sailing even safer, it is to have everything under control in a single tool, without having to search for information on several screens on the dashboard.
Garmin announced support for the Mercury Marine VesselView system, for viewing and managing engine data across all multifunction chartplotters in the Gpsmap series, Echomaps Ultra, and Echomaps UHD.
This will allow users to have at hand all the information about the engine data and what is necessary for a comfortable and safe navigation.
VesselView, the information management system included in Mercury Marine’s SmartCraft platform, is integrated into Garmin multifunction chartplotters to display information about your boat’s engines and performance and enhance the boating experience.
This gives you immediate access to engine performance data, including engine rpm, speed, fuel flow, various temperature gauges, trim and much more, through Mercury’s SmartCraft Connect platform, which lets you allows monitoring up to four motors simultaneously.
The VesselView system, available to Garmin users through SmartCraft Connect, keeps track of all data related to engines, which also helps with safety: it actually provides warnings and alarm messages when a data is not respected factory settings. In this way, sailors can make the most of their time aboard their boat without worry.
The new VesselView system is available to Garmin customers from the second quarter of 2021, just update the instrument software and integrate the Mercury SmartCraft Connect gateway to access a new world of content.
