C-MAP renews its navigation App with Navily

C-MAP, the benchmark in digital nautical charting and cloud-based mapping, has enhanced its Embark application and renamed it C-MAP: Boating to be more in line with the portfolio of mapping products, services and identity, of the brand.

The C-MAP: Boating app can be downloaded free of charge and offers the user a wide range of charts and functions, as well as allowing them to test the Premium functions, which can be accessed by phone, tablet or computer, all it for free.

This announcement comes at a time when C-MAP is investing heavily in its marine navigation application, including the introduction of the latest in high resolution mapping and updated features. The C-MAP: Boating app is one of the best rated nautical navigation apps on the market, with a 4.7 rating on the App Store and 4.6 on the Google Play Store.

New navigation tools

In addition to the improvements in the creation of charts, the application offers a new tool for measuring distances and another for searching by coordinates, both conceived to improve the navigation experience in the application, together with its autorouting functions, personal waypoints, routes and tracks.

The latest and most detailed weather data

The app’s maritime weather forecast has been updated, so users will now be able to find out the moon phase of their next fishing or sailing trip. In addition, users can now see the weather conditions along their entire route, whether it is information on precipitation, wind, tides or waves.

Thousands of new points of interest thanks to Navily

In collaboration with Navily, a renowned nautical guide for anchorages and marinas, the app now lists thousands of more destinations around the world. This way, users can easily search for moorings or other points of interest, such as beaches, shops and much more.

This data includes additional information on available services, VHF channel, phone number, number of moorings, draft, length, as well as photos and user comments.

The C-MAP: Boating, in six languages

The C-MAP: Boating app has also expanded its international footprint, making it now available in German and Italian, as well as English, French, Spanish and Norwegian.

The C-MAP: Boating application is downloaded free of charge and can be accessed through different devices, such as phone, tablet and computer. Users traveling to an area without internet coverage or mobile data can turn to the Premium version to download maps and weather reports offline, so they stay safe no matter where their journey takes them.
