Asymmetric Catamaran, Asean Lady

The 88.15 meter asymmetric catamaran called Asean Lady is on the market with a price of € 30,500,000.

Current owner Vincent Tan, owner of Cardiff City Football Club, has put this unique superyacht on the market with Raffles Yacht Group.

Delivered in 2004, Asean Lady has been based in Asia since its launch and is currently located in Langkawi, Malaysia.

Inspired by the design of a bamboo outrigger canoe used for centuries in the South Pacific, the unusual catamaran design features a helipad, accommodation for 18 guests, and a 160-square-meter main cabin with a private balcony and office.

In addition to attracting attention, the yacht’s distinctive asymmetrical shape by Bow shape, offers additional space to accommodate all those guests, and also improves its fuel efficiency: Asean Lady has a range of 10,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

The unique design is also famous for the stability of it, Asean Lady survived a tsunami anchored off Phuket, Thailand in 2004.

The steel vessel was built by the Chinese shipyard Pride Mega Yachts and delivered in 2004. Asean Lady has many windows, so guests can comfortably enjoy the views during inclement weather.

She is powered by a single 2000hp azimuth thruster engine, and has a 600hp retractable propeller that can propel the boat with an additional 7 knots when required. She too she can maneuver sideways using the forward and reverse thrusters.
