Every year, Costa Rica welcomes millions of tourists to experience its natural beauty, but those who wanted to travel the country on the high seas had limited options.
Now, for the first time in history, the country will open its shores to international superyacht charters.
With the good news now official, everything is getting ready to bring the first tourists to the country.
There are two areas suitable for charters: the Osa Peninsula and the North Pacific coast.
The maritime crews will have greater agility to enter the country.
The crew of yachts and sailboats will be exempted from the visa and entry permit process according to their nationality, in order to facilitate the immigration process.
The controls were rigid due to the control required as a preventive measure to avoid the contagion of Covid-19, however, they are made more flexible in order to contribute to the gradual opening of the country’s economic activities.
