The highest wave in the world ever surfed by a woman
Brazilian Maya Gabeira broke her previous world record by mounting an impressive wall of water on Portugal’s famous Nazaré beach.
Brazilian surfer Maya Gabeira broke the world record for the largest wave ever surfed by a woman in history by taming a 22.4 meter wall of water in Nazaré, where seven years ago she nearly drowned after breaking her leg in full test.
Gabeira’s feat took place in February, but has now managed to be officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

The 33-year-old Brazilian was just two meters away from the men’s world record, which is 24.38 meters held by sRodrigo Koxa since November 2018.
