Te Rehutai overturn on practice day
Practice races began in the Hauraki Gulf, and Emirates Team New Zealand made their third allowed capsize.
The team says it was an operator error, as the crew lost control after a high-speed gybe at the end of a leeward windward, when the Kiwis lined up to round the lower mark, under pressure from an INEOS Team UK.
The race took place with four AC75s racing in a southwesterly breeze of 18-23 kts, flat water and bright sunshine.
