Applications must be submitted by February 25
The United States SailGP Team announced today the launch of a nationwide, open application process for American female athletes as part of its ongoing roster selection process.
Interested female athletes can click here to complete and submit their application, which must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on Thursday, February 25.
U.S. SailGP Team helm Jimmy Spithill reiterated the team’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment as it builds out its Season 2 roster: “This open process is about reaching out to the entire country to identify individuals with the right skills, attitude and work ethic necessary to join the team. We will look to help further their skills this season and put in the time required to build a strong foundation for their future success.”
In addition to the open application, the team will be announcing more programming next month for aspiring American athletes. SailGP Season 2 opens with the Bermuda Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess, April 24-25 when the U.S. team will go head to head with the sport’s best athletes, representing seven other rival nations.
