The touching moment in which Tim Shaddock said goodbye to the dog Bella after being together for months adrift
Timothy Shaddock, rescued by a Mexican ship, after living for two months in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, has decided to leave his dog “Bella” in Mexico, a faithful companion during the harsh adventures at sea.
Tim Shaddock and Bella never imagined drinking rainwater and eating raw fish to survive and wait for rescue trying to cross the Pacific from Mexico to French Polynesia. A strong storm damaged his boat and electronic instruments, forcing him to drift in the middle of the ocean some 2,200 kilometers from the Mexican coast.

The gift for the captain that saved his life Eager to be reunited with his friends and family, and happy to have survived, Timothy Shaddock also expressed his gratitude to the person who saved his life, and as a sign of recognition he decided to give his dog Bella to the captain who rescued him.
The dog, a dark, golden-spotted mongrel, is Mexican and had found her wandering before setting sail from La Paz, Baja California Sur.
After several frustrated attempts to find him a shelter, the animal followed him everywhere, and Shaddock made the decision to take him with him. Bella was a very important moral support for the Australian, since it allowed him to resist the effects of isolation and prolong his mental health.
The desire to thank your savior is not the only reason to give a gift to your partner, it is also the difficulty of taking an animal with you to Australia, especially from Mexico, which has no agreement with Australia.
