Miami 133, the new concept of Kurt Strand
Norwegian designer Kurt Strand has launched his latest Strand Craft concept, a 133-meter-long, 20-beam explorer yacht called Miami.
Miami is designed to handle the most extreme weather conditions and can be transformed into a rescue vessel for emergency operations in disaster areas.
The six-story Miami features a sky bar with a 360-degree panoramic view 20 meters above the water’s surface.
Accommodation is for 20 guests in 10 cabins, including 300 square meter owner’s suite with 180 degree ocean view, outdoor Jacuzzi, sundeck area, gym, spa, office, library and wine cellar.
It has two large helicopter platforms, two 58 ′ high-speed tenders and two Mercedes off-road trucks.
The most spectacular interior feature is a three-story nightclub with glass floors.
The crew quarters, including cabins and a lounge, will be located on the lower deck and will accommodate 44 people.
Strand has designed the yacht with an environmentally friendly propulsion system of three electric azipods powered by hydrogen fuel cell generators, for a maximum speed of 20 knots.
The cost of building Miami 133 will be 700 million dollars.
