Tom Londrigan resigned as president in October 2023. The IGC thanks him for a strong list of accomplishments during his term including strengthening our longstanding relationship with Bacardi, a renewed focus on U30 sailors with reduced fees and housing at several events, creating partnerships with SLAM and Robline to benefit our members, adding a borrowed boat insurance program for US regattas, overseeing the commemorative book on 100 Years of Star Worlds and the use of special sail numbers at the 100th Worlds in 2022 to honor past World Champions. Tom’s dedication to the Star Class culture and willingness to volunteer his time and skill is a prime example of the magic of the Star Class
