Shipwreck off the Louisiana Coast

A huge crane ship was wrecked in the middle of a storm. There are 13 missing crew members.
Rescue teams are searching for the crew members of a boat that sank off the state of Louisiana, in the United States.

There were 19 people on board, and the Coast Guard had so far rescued six.

The 129-foot lift ship wrecked about 8 miles off Port Fourchon Tuesday afternoon.

This lift ship is a self-propelled vessel with an open deck, often using legs and jacks, and deployed at sea in support of drilling or exploration tasks.

A meteorological phenomenon on Tuesday afternoon caused strong winds of 70 to 80 miles per hour, which would have made the sea very rough.
