SAXDOR, A SPORTS BOAT WITH THE SOUL OF A WATER MOTORCYCLE

Saxdor presented the new project by Sakari Mattila, one of the founders of the Axopar firm.

The Finnish label builds its boats in a Polish shipyard and has a catalog with five models. Two of these are, the Saxdor 200 Sport and the Saxdor 320 GTO

The Saxdor 200 Sport is the smallest in the fleet, at six meters in length (20 feet), it combines the fun and power of a jet ski with the safety and comfort of a compact boat, and a 100 horsepower Mercury outboard motor.

This model presented as a “scooter” of the sea, an interesting option to attract new sailors with limited budgets, and also as a durable and practical auxiliary boat for superyachts.

Thanks to its light weight of 780 kilograms without motor (and a ton with it), it has a sporty double staggered hull (22.5 degrees), the little Saxdor exceeds 30 knots of maximum speed with the most basic propeller.

The controls are located in the center of the deck with a row of seats for three people, forming a jet ski structure. And on deck there are four other spaces for passengers.

Another of the five models is the 320 GTO, a ‘premium’ of 10 meters in length. A fast and powerful outboard, with modern and sporty lines, it has a propulsion of two Mercury outboards of 300 hp, capable of exceeding 50 knots, and that of cruising between 20 and 40 knots. It goes on the market with a price of 90,900 euros, equipped with a single Mercury V8 engine.
