Skipper Paul Meilhat talks about the challenge of Leg 3 and adding crew with ‘Cape Horn’ experience for the race
Biotherm skipper Paul Meilhat is adding Sam Davies to his team for leg 3, the longest leg in the 50 history of The Ocean Race.
He says experience is critical for what he views as a challenging leg.
“We are really happy to have Sam Davies join us in Cape Town. She has crossed Cape Horn many times,” he said. “This leg has many parts – the Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and after Cape Horn it is not finished because the weather is quite tricky…”
