SAILGP – FUN AND GLAMOUR IN SAINT-TROPEZ

The France Sail Grand Prix was a weekend of sun, speed and plenty of style, as Saint-Tropez hosted SailGP’s latest event.

Two days of racing on the Côte d’Azur proved to be some of the most thrilling action of the season so far, as Japan claimed victory to move top of the Season Championship leaderboard.

And the fifth event of Season 2 brought out the crowds in force on a sunny September weekend in the south of France.

While all the racing took place on the waves, there was also plenty to check out on-shore as Saint-Tropez lived up to its reputation for glam, glitz and good times for all.

As families gathered in the SailGP Race Village, spectator boats took fans closer to the action, and stunning personal yachts took advantage of the Bring Your Own Boat program, we were there to capture all the scenes – many of which are certain to go down in SailGP history!

Japan defeated the United States and Spain in the winner-takes-all Final in Saint-Tropez, and those who came to watch the action in person saw the making of SailGP history – as the 29 meter wing was used for the first time ever on Race Day 2.

And it’s fair to say some supporters got to watch all the action in style, utilising the Adrenaline Yachts program to live the life of luxury during the event.

SailGP returns in shortly under a month, with the Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalusia – Cadiz ending the European leg of Season 2 on 9-10 October.
