The Ladies of the Sea return to Venice with the X Principality of Monaco Trophy the Vintage Sails in the Lagoon BNL BNP Paribas Wealth Management Cup, an event promoted by Anna Licia Balzan, Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Venice.
The Trophy, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, is confirmed as one of the most important events for vintage sailing in the Adriatic thanks to the extraordinary setting of the most famous lagoon in the world and the unique historical value of the participating boats.
Two scheduled regattas that will be run applying the ratings of the C.I.M. (Comité International de la Méditerranée) on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June while the public will be able to watch the suggestive sailing from the shores which will take place around 11.00 on Sunday in the waters in front of the San Marco basin.
The event will be organized as usual with the sporting direction of Mirko Sguario, founder and president of the Venice Yacht Club, in collaboration with the PortodiMare Sailing Club under the patronage of A.I.V.E. Italian Association of Vintage Sails.
The prizes will be real works of art signed by the historic Murano glass factory Barovier & Toso whose origins date back to 1295.
This tenth edition of the Trophy sees the prestigious participation of American Express at its side for the first time and the confirmation of the support of important brands such as Diadora, Villa Sandi, Nature’s, Vhernier, Canella.
