The Open Foil and Raceboard Spanish Championship ends in the Bay of Cádiz with a wide participation and variety in terms of wind conditions
The IQ Foil, Olympic class in Paris 2024, has been the center of attention in the national Open Foil and Raceboard held in the Bay of Cádiz, with the victory of Tomás Vieito (Club Náutico Rodeira) who is second in the general Open Foil classification . Second is the RS: X pre-Olympic team member Ángel Granda (RCN de Gran Canaria) followed by his teammate Iván Pastor (Movistar- CN Santa Pola).
Among the women, Pilar Lamadrid (Club Náutico Puerto Sherry) is first followed by her clubmate and Spanish representative for the Olympic Games. from Tokyo in RS: X Blanca Manchón, and Nicole van der Velden, member of the Spanish 49erFX pre-Olympic team.
Juveniles Bernat Tomas and Pep Estrany (both from CN s’Arenal) occupy the first two places together with Aurelio Terry (CN Sevilla) in third position.
In the Racebord class, the winner was Francisco Manchón Domínguez, and in Open Foil the victory went to Fernando Martínez del Cerro.
