IDDES YACHTS EARTH 300 IS A FUTURISTIC SHIP WITH A “SPHERE OF SCIENCE”
Iddes Yachts, a Barcelona shipbuilder, aims to strike a perfect balance between scientific exploration and innovative nautical design to tackle significant challenges.
The sustainable Earth 300 concept is equipped with 22 state-of-the-art onboard laboratories and includes a “Sphere of Science”.
The Earth 300 will be powered by nuclear technology called Molten Salt Reactors, which will make it emission-free.
Iddes Yachts Earth 300 is 300 meters (984 feet) long.
She can host more than 400 people at a time, including 160 scientists, 40 VIP guests, 20 resident experts, and 20 students, assisted by a 160-member crew on board. Most of the space is dedicated to scientific equipment and ocean research.
The 13-story black “Science Sphere” located at the stern, and provides a 360-degree view.
The Iddes Yachts Earth 300 is an expedition ship, and will be equipped with the latest artificial intelligence and robotics technologies. She will also have a prominent observation deck out front and a helideck to facilitate expeditions by air.
This innovative project is supported by IBM, Triton Submarines, EYOS Expeditions and RINA and is expected to launch in 2025.
