Hans Frauscher
On Sunday, November 29, 2020, Hans Frauscher passed away peacefully at the age of 81, surrounded by his family.
Hans, the youngest son of company founder Engelbert Frauscher, together with his brother Ernst (who died in 2017) and their respective wives Dorothea and Elisabeth, have contributed to making Frauscher one of the most modern and innovative shipyards in Europe.
Hans Frauscher grew up in the shipyard, “breathing nautical” from early childhood. As production manager, he laid the foundation for the family business to achieve a success that is now recognized internationally.
Thanks to their contribution, the shipyard has in fact reached important goals in terms of research and development, creating unique and innovative models, both in the electrical field and in the construction of polyester boats. For more than 90 years, the Frauscher shipyard has been known for the high quality and craftsmanship that distinguishes its production, a success made possible also by the tenacity and hard work of Hans Frauscher.
A passionate sailor, Hans has been national champion on several occasions and in 1982 he won the title of world champion in the H-Boat class.
