The 2021 edition of the European Yacht of the Year will be remembered as the most complex in history despite the difficulties imposed by the pandemic.

Despite the difficulties to be overcome, the tests were finally carried out at three locations: Kiel in August and Cannes and La Rochelle in September and October.

Due to travel difficulties and the obligation to carry out quarantines, not all the eleven members of the jury were able to navigate all the ships. For a minimum of six juries was established to validate the test and legitimize the vote.
