Hoy se encuentran repartidos alrededor de todo el mundo con sus distintas variedades, pero siempre con su sello.<\/p>\n<h3>La historia de los veleros Optimist<\/h3>\n<p>All\u00e1 por el a\u00f1o 1947 nac\u00eda el primer <strong>velero Optimist<\/strong>, en el llamado \u201cOptimist International Club\u201d en Clearwater, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Su creador, Clark Mills, comenz\u00f3 haciendo algo parecido a una caja con una vela y llantas, con la idea de andar a vela por las calles.<br \/>\nPero al tiempo, este peculiar invento rodante, pas\u00f3 al agua en forma de <strong>velero<\/strong> habitual.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>Optimist<\/strong> fue conociendo el resto del mundo, gracias a las diferentes competiciones en las que particip\u00f3. En 1950 ya ser\u00eda conocido en Europa y m\u00e1s tarde se har\u00eda famoso en Africa, America Latina y Asia.<\/p>\n<p>En 1965 se reunieron 7 pa\u00edses para formar una asociaci\u00f3n llamada <strong>IODA<\/strong>\u00a0, siglas de la asociaci\u00f3n internacional de botes<strong> Optimist, que ya\u00a0<\/strong>cuenta con una gran cantidad de miembros en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<h2>La ficha t\u00e9cnica<\/h2>\n<p>El <strong>Optimist<\/strong> es un peque\u00f1o <strong>velero<\/strong>, que contiene s\u00f3lo una vela cuadrada.<br \/>\nSe trata de un <strong>velero para\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0ni\u00f1os de 5 a 15 a\u00f1os de edad.<\/p>\n<p>Las medidas del <strong>Optimist<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Largo: 2, 3 metros.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ancho: 1, 13 metros.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Superficie de vela: 3, 5 metros cuadrados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Peso: 35 kilogramos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los veleros Optimist nacieron hace ya algunas d\u00e9cadas en Estados Unidos.
