The Italian Open Championship of the small flying foil monohull Moth ended at Circolo Vela Torbole with a stellar technical level: Olympic gold medals, America’s Cup and Prada Cup winners, multiple world champions in various classes, including Moth. Open victory for the Olympic champion of the 49er skiff Iain Jensen, for just one point ahead of the other Australian gold Laser Tom Slingsby, winner of an America’s Cup and protagonist in the catamarans of the Sail GP circuit (of which a stage has just ended in Taranto ), a connoisseur of Garda Trentino, since he prepared the Olympics he won in London here. The new Italian star Francesco Bruni, after having made the Italians dream in the America’s Cup and having won the Prada Cup, held up against the other champions, winning the Italian title Moth and the third step of the podium in the open ranking. Behind him, in the ranking valid for the Italian Championship, second step of the podium of the Trentino Ruggero Tita, who took a break from the Olimpico Nacra 17, before concentrating for the Tokyo Olympics, which he will participate in paired with Caterina Banti.
