The Ocean Race Europe
With the countdown to The Ocean Race Europe 2025 ticking down, Team Holcim-PRB unveils a legendary crew packed with experience, ambition, and a clear goal: to win.
At the centre of this powerful line-up is skipper Rosalin Kuiper, who makes her return to The Ocean Race Europe as the only female skipper in this edition of the race. After giving birth to her first child in December, Rosalin is stepping into this new chapter with renewed determination and a talented team behind her.
“This is a truly meaningful moment for me,” Rosalin shared. “Our strength is definitely our diversity. Each crew member is fully committed to collective success. With five legs, the race will be particularly intense. Everyone will play a key role in achieving our goal. I have total confidence in this team and in our boat.”
Rosalin is no stranger to the intensity of ocean racing. She previously raced around the world with Team Malizia in the 2022-23 edition of The Ocean Race, earning a reputation as one of the standout sailors of the fleet. Now, she returns to the race as skipper of Holcim-PRB, a boat that’s already proven itself on the IMOCA circuit – including a 6th-place finish in the 2024 Vendée Globe with Nicolas Lunven at the helm.
Nicolas joins the team once again, this time as a key crew member. His deep understanding of the IMOCA and his strategic and meteorological expertise will be crucial in the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of The Ocean Race Europe.
Also onboard is Carolijn Brouwer, a true icon of the sport. A three-time The Ocean Race veteran, Olympic medalist, and one of the first women to win the Volvo Ocean Race (with Dongfeng Race Team in 2017-18), Carolijn brings unrivalled insight and composure under pressure.
Alan Roberts, known for his impressive solo and crewed offshore background, adds another layer of performance to the team. With extensive experience in the Figaro class and the latest-generation IMOCAs, Alan raced with Biotherm during the 2022-23 edition and has co-skippered with L’Occitane Sailing Team.
Rounding out the line-up is a name that resonates deeply in offshore racing: Franck Cammas. From winning the Volvo Ocean Race to dominating major transatlantic races and setting speed records, Franck is one of the most respected sailors of his generation. His tactical expertise and leadership in high-pressure moments will be vital assets to Holcim-PRB’s campaign.
Together, this crew represents the perfect blend of experience, skill, and competitive spirit.
“Without hesitation, I can say we’re sailing with some of the best in the world,” Rosalin added. “Our ambition is clear: we’re here to win. That’s why we’ve optimized the boat and assembled the most high-performing team possible, both at sea and on land. I’m extremely proud of everything the team has accomplished.”
Sailing under the Swiss flag, Holcim-PRB will return to The Ocean Race Europe as one of the top contenders, and with this line-up, all eyes will be on them when the fleet sets off this summer
