SailGP Takes Flight in Asia: Hong Kong Kicks Off 13-Event 2027 Season
The Rolex SailGP Championship is heading to Hong Kong for the very first time as the league unveils a globe-spanning 13-event calendar for the 2027 Season.
Set against the neon-lit backdrop of Victoria Harbour, the Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix will kick off on January 23-24, 2027, marking a huge moment in SailGP’s rapid global expansion.
One of the world’s most iconic city skylines will become the backdrop for F50 racing at over 100 km/h as the championship opens a new chapter in Asia.
But that’s just the beginning.
The 2027 Season calendar is packed with fan-favorite venues and blockbuster comebacks, including the long-awaited return of San Francisco after a season away.
From the heavy-air chaos of Perth to the tight stadium racing of New York, Halifax and Portsmouth, the season promises another year of edge-of-your-seat action across five continents.
Europe’s summer stretch also returns with stops in Sassnitz and Valencia before SailGP heads to Italy for a brand-new event location, set to be revealed in the coming days.
Then comes the final sprint. Rio de Janeiro and Dubai will once again provide two of the most spectacular backdrops in global sport as the fleet races toward the winner-takes-all Rolex SailGP Championship Grand Final, with the host venue still to be confirmed.

- Feb 2027 – Australia Sail Grand Prix | Perth
- Apr 3-4 – San Francisco Sail Grand Prix
- May 1-2 – Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix
- May 15-16 – Canada Sail Grand Prix | Halifax
- June 5-6 – New York Sail Grand Prix
- July 24-25 – Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix
- Aug 14-15 – Germany Sail Grand Prix | Sassnitz
- Sept 4-5 – Spain Sail Grand Prix | Valencia
- Sept 11-12 – Italy Sail Grand Prix
- Oct 9-10 – Enel Rio Sail Grand Prix
- Nov 20-21 – Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by DP World
- Nov / Dec TBC – Rolex SailGP Championship 2027 Season Grand Final
