SAILGP
SailGP has adjusted the race schedule for Sunday February 15 – day two of the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | Auckland – due to the threat of high winds in the afternoon.
The decision by organizers was made following consultation with local authorities and event stakeholders, with athlete safety and competitive integrity as priorities.
Racing will now begin at 11:30am NZT on Sunday February 15 (10.30pm UTC Saturday February 14), brought forward from the originally scheduled 4pm start time.
Timings for Saturday February 14 remain unchanged, with racing scheduled for 4pm.
Updated Sunday timings are as follows:
- Race Stadium opens: 9am
- Adrenaline Lounge opens: 10am
- Racing begins: 11:30am
- Event concludes: approximately 2:30pm
SailGP acknowledges the adjustment may impact plans and appreciates the understanding and flexibility of fans, partners and the wider Auckland community.
