New Mercury Marine Flo-Torq SSR propeller core, minimizes noise and vibration

Mercury Marine minimizes noise and vibration with Flo-Torq SSR propeller core

Brunswick Marine EMEA announced that Mercury’s new Flo-Torq SSR propeller core is available.

The SSR core is a solution that has been created to reduce and eliminate noise and vibration produced by the propeller, which provides maximum durability for the smallest and mid-range outboards.

Flo-Torq SSR uses Soft-Shift Rubber technology in a quiet core that provides improved Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) in Flo-Torq II applications where maximum reduction in noise, vibration, and harshness is desired.

It also replaces the Flo-Torq III and IV to simplify Mercury’s propeller core offering, while providing increased performance at a reduced cost without sacrificing durability.

SSR technology provides a 22-23% improvement in the noise produced in the gear change maneuver, both neutral-forward and neutral-reverse, also eliminating the characteristic “clonk” when engaging.

Just as Mercury provides increasingly quiet marine engines, Mercury Propellers offers products that also minimize noise, vibration, and harshness.

The Flo-Torq SSR is the complement to Mercury outboards from 40hp to 225hp with a 1 ″ propeller shaft in general applications.
