From October 7 to 12, 2025, Fraglia Vela Malcesine will host the Inclusive World Championship 2.4mr 2025, the World Championship that celebrates sailing as a sport without barriers.

After a season filled with international highlights – including the Moth, Contender, and Switch World Championships – Lake Garda welcomes a unique regatta, where athletes with and without physical disabilities will compete side by side. This project combines sporting challenge and social inclusion, offering participants the thrill of world-class racing while promoting sailing as an accessible sport for everyone.

Local associations will play an active role, with opportunities to follow the competition directly from the water and take advantage of the club’s welcoming facilities. The aim is to encourage the widest possible participation – from athletes to spectators – in a context of top-level competition.

With this event, Fraglia Vela Malcesine once again confirms its role as an international hub not only for classic sailing and foiling, but also for sport as a vehicle of equal opportunities. Malcesine has long been chosen by world-renowned sailors and Paralympic athletes for training, making the town a true center of excellence and sporting innovation. Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Malcesine and the local hospitality and tourism network, more than 60 athletes from 17 countries will be welcomed.

The line-up promises to be outstanding: the world’s best 2.4mr sailors will deliver one of the most anticipated competitions of the season.

The 2025 2.4mr World Championship is made possible thanks to the support of partners and sponsors. Special thanks go to Intesa Sanpaolo, main sponsor of the event, as well as to sponsors Falconeri, Funivie Malcesine-Monte Baldo, Negri Nautica, Helly Hansen, MAN Truck & Bus Italia, Frantoi Redoro, Birrerie Stiegl, Cantine Tinazzi, and Speck Stube.

The event takes place under the patronage of the Veneto Region, the Province of Verona, and the Municipality of Malcesine, in collaboration with World Sailing and the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV).
