Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) is bringing major news of revised regulations and new & improved world-class marinas in exotic Asia Pacific countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Andaman Islands & India to the Monaco Yacht Show.

There are many ongoing positive changes developing in the Asia Pacific region with governments in many of the island countries. APS has been working with the government to the yachting community and industry by allowing more marinas, while creating more infrastructure to support visiting superyachts report APS co-founders, Gordon Fernandes and Captain Charlie Dwyer.

There has been a significant easing of regulations for international yachts and for longer stayswith new modern marinas opening or scheduled to open in the stunning destinations of Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives and Sri Lanka. “There are now world-class marinas and accommodation in nearly every South East Asia cruising region, with more coming”, enthuses Fernandes, commenting on new luxury marinas in Thailand.

Nestled strategically at the southernmost tip of the island is the new ‘ONE°15 Marina Panwa Phuket’. The Marina project features 171-berths for superyachts up to 200 feet and 25 hard-stand spaces with 80 dry-stack storage. The integrated marina club, positioned as a nautical lifestyle resort is equipped with yacht chartering, spa & wellness area and hotel facilities. Situated in the picturesque bay of Cape Panwa, this marina welcomes superyachts up to 37 metres. The hospitality component is to include 66 hotel rooms including four three-bedroom villas, a spa, a gym, a lifestyle pool, meeting rooms, banquet hall and multiple F&B outlets. When completed the Project will be the only integrated marina club in the southern part of Phuket, among the island’s most luxurious resorts.

A second new dedicated Marina designed for Superyachts, dubbed ‘Port Macchanu Marina’, is located on Phuket’s northeast shore. The Marina will offer berths to superyachts ranging from 40 to 80 metres with onshore facilities including restaurants, shops, gourmet supermarket and a waterfront exhibition and convention area. The Marina is adjacent to the Phuket Premier Boatyard, and now the new Shipyard can service yachts up to 60 metres.

In the planning stages is the Slate Phuket project, looking for investors to develop a new world-class marina development project on the east coast of Phuket at Sapam Bay, complete with adjacent land for housing, shopping, and leisure facilities. As well, notes Captain Charlie, is the Gulf of Thailand’s ‘Ocean Marina Jomtien’, the first Platinum 5 Gold Anchor Marina.

In regards to established world-class marinas, APS Seychelles GM Gilbert D’offay reminds superyacht owners & captains seeking farther-flung experiences to consider gathering new information of the “land of perpetual summer’ at the APS Stand. “If it’s on your list, the ‘Eden Island Marina’ provides facilities for some of the biggest boats around and we’re excited to share our news.”
