The 29th Rodos Cup, organized by the Offshore Sailing Yacht Club of Rhodes (ASIATH Rhodes), officially got underway yesterday, with 40 yachts setting sail on a spectacular journey across the South Aegean.

From 6 to 10 July 2026, crews from Greece and abroad will compete along one of the Aegean’s most scenic race routes, combining challenging offshore sailing with the breathtaking beauty of the Dodecanese islands.

The 2026 course will take the fleet from Kos to Nisyros, Tilos, and finally Rhodes, offering competitors a unique blend of competitive racing and authentic island hospitality. Each destination presents a new challenge both on and off the water, making the Rodos Cup one of Greece’s most distinctive offshore sailing events.

The 40 participating yachts made the most of the excellent sailing conditions during the opening leg, enjoying favourable winds as they arrived in Nisyros, the picturesque island renowned for its spectacular volcanic landscape and warm hospitality.

Event Schedule

Monday, 6 July – Kos to Nisyros

The opening race starts at 11:00, with the fleet departing from Kos and heading towards Nisyros. Competitors will enjoy a demanding offshore course before arriving at the island, renowned for its spectacular volcanic landscape and unique atmosphere.

Tuesday, 7 July – Nisyros to Tilos

The second leg takes the fleet from Nisyros to Tilos, an island celebrated for its unspoiled natural beauty, peaceful surroundings and genuine Greek hospitality.

Wednesday, 8 July – Tilos

A lay day in Tilos will give competitors the opportunity to relax, explore the island and prepare for the final stages of the regatta.

Thursday, 9 July – Tilos to Rhodes

The third and final race takes the fleet from Tilos to Rhodes, concluding the competitive sailing programme on the largest island of the Dodecanese.

Friday, 10 July – Rhodes

The 29th Rodos Cup will conclude with the Prize Giving and Closing Ceremony in Rhodes, celebrating the winners and bringing another memorable edition of the regatta to a close, while looking ahead to the 2027 event. Combining world-class sailing with the exceptional beauty of the South Aegean, the Rodos Cup continues to offer competitors and visitors an unforgettable experience both on and off the water.
