Max Zhivov‘s latest electric yacht concept features sauna and roof with solar panels
Designer Max Zhivov shared his latest architecturally inspired electric yacht concept called “AmperAge”. developed in collaboration with naval engineers from st. Petersburg-based AMETA combines the comforts of home of a houseboat with the high-tech specifications of a traditional coastal yacht.
The hull of the AmperAge yacht is made of marine aluminum alloy, which gives the boat durability and strength without a significant increase in displacement considering the weight of the battery. The composite sandwich superstructure allows excellent thermal insulation and modeling freedom with low weight. meanwhile, the large amount of glazing, which is more typical in houseboats, allows passengers to enjoy the surrounding views as they travel.
The design of Max Zhivov‘s yacht provides for a comfortable stay of 4-6 people in two or three cabins. The interior in the bow consists of a command post, kitchen cabinet and dining table with a wraparound sofa that can be converted into a bed. the main cabin is located in the aft part of the yacht and includes a double bed, a wardrobe and a desk to work comfortably. And a huge panoramic window frames a fantastic panorama of the water.
The sauna and shower unit with toilet is located in the middle of the yacht providing comfortable and independent use of the bow and stern lounges. The full-size sauna can also accommodate two additional beds if required. on the upper deck.
There is a large space for outdoor recreation and sunbathing on two huge sofas covered from the wind by the side walls of the deck fence, where you can also install a grill, a water slide or consoles to transport a boat inflatable.
The ship’s power plant includes two electric motors, a battery pack, solar panels and a small auxiliary diesel generator in a special soundproof housing to provide power at peak loads on long cruises and when using the sauna. all this without the noise.
