A freighter capsized while docked in a Vietnamese port

A freighter capsized while docked in a Vietnamese port, losing part of its cargo at sea. The scene was filmed with a telephone by a witness.

A freighter has capsized on the dock and has lost its cargo at sea.

It happened in Vietnam, in the port of Ho Chi Minh, where a freighter capsized while moored at the dock.

The 1987 Alica ship from Mongolia is 76 meters long and 12 meters wide.

The cause of the accident could be attributed to an error in the arrangement of the cargo on board and the ballast.

In the images you can see the boat that little by little is overturning more and more, until the ship’s bow cable is started. Excessive dragging causes some containers to fall into the sea and the ship, freed from part of the cargo, seems to almost straighten out.

On board the ship were 54 containers, 18 of which fell into the sea during the “capsize”.
