Foodinghy, the first food delivery dedicated to the nautical sector.
The Foodinghy service is accessed from the application or website, where the navigator can select where he wants to have lunch, the restaurant where to order and the dishes he prefers. After indicating when you prefer to receive lunch, you can proceed with the online payment and wait for your order to be delivered directly on board, enjoying yourself in the water.
Its two founders Andrea and Patrick say “The idea of was born from a need that we had already felt for several years: wanting to eat well on the boat, which is not always possible due to lack of space, capacity or desire” .
“Other sailors also thought like us: after having worked all week, you just want to enjoy the weekend on the boat without having to think about shopping, cooking and cleaning. And from there we started to think of a solution, until we left, we actually set sail with Foodinghy! “.
The service was born in Sestri Levante, where it is currently active, but is spreading to other locations in Liguria. “Soon the service will be extended to Portovenere and Punta Chiappa, and later we would like to expand to the Tyrrhenian coast, activating the service also in the ports. The objective is to have a wide coverage of the entire Italian coast ”.
Currently in Foodinghy’s offer there are mainly restaurants that mainly offer seafood cuisine, but the offer is expanding with the inclusion of pizzerias and meat proposals.
A service is mainly aimed at boaters between 5 and 13/14 meters, that is, those who do not have a kitchen or have a kitchen, but do not have a chef on board and therefore do not always want to cook dishes that they can eat in the restaurant. The site and the application, for the moment, are only in Italian, but will soon be translated into different languages to offer this service also to foreign tourists.
Foodinghy is a solution to make the boat experience even more unique and tasty: because eating a plate of spaghetti overlooking the sea is fantastic, but eating it at sea is priceless.
