The 68th edition of the Rolex Giraglia will officially begin on Wednesday June 16 in San Remo

At the beginning of Sunday June 13, the races of the 68th edition of the Rolex Giraglia are approaching, which will see the boats entered the competition starting at 19 from Genoa (54 boats) and Saint-Tropez (34 boats) to converge in San Remo, where, after traveling a distance of approximately 60 miles at night, they will join the rest of the fleet the next morning.

On Monday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., it will be possible to register at the Yacht Club San Remo, while on Tuesday, June 15, at 5 p.m. the awards ceremony for the approach regattas will take place. .

The Rolex Giraglia will officially start on Wednesday, June 16 at 12 noon and, for the first time, the participants, who this year have reached the considerable quota of 147 registered in the ORC, IRC and X2 Classes, will meet while sailing (and before la Giraglia) two buoys: one in Cala del Forte, the new port of Ventimiglia, the other in the Chretienne buoy in front of the Rade d’Agay, where a boat from the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez will carry out the passages. The event will end on Saturday June 19 with the award ceremony, which will be held in Genoa at 12 at the Italian Yacht Club.

For this edition it is mandatory to register via email and download a pass (sent to all members), which will be essential to access the areas reserved for the event, the Race Villages of Sanremo and Genoa, the Yacht Club Sanremo and the Yacht Club Italian in Genoa.

The regatta is organized by the Italian Nautical Club, under the auspices of the Italian Sailing Federation and the French Voile Federation, in collaboration with the Yacht Club Sanremo, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, the Yacht Club de France, the Union Nationale pour la Course au Large, the International Maxi Association and the City of San Remo and with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Genoa and the Liguria Region. Rolex has been the main partner of the competition since 1998, while Slam is the technical sponsor of this edition.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE RACE

From Sunday 13 to Saturday 19 June it will be possible to follow the most important stages of the regattas live, and they are scheduled every day at 8, 13 and 18 dedicated broadcasts with interviews, history of the regatta and recorded images of the event and with technical comments in real time from the control rooms of Genoa and San Remo.

It will be possible to follow the competition daily in streaming on the YouTube channel of the Italian Yacht Club, or via online monitoring.
