As part of the Volvo Group‘s large electromobility initiatives, Volvo Penta is expanding its capabilities by becoming the majority shareholder in Norwegian provider of marine battery and electric drive solutions ZEM.

The ambition of this acquisition is to take a further step in the development of electromobility, thanks to the specialized marine offer that ZEM has.

Volvo Penta will support ZEM’s growth through its established network, while ZEM’s expertise helped Volvo Penta accelerate development projects.
Together, the companies will expand and accelerate Volvo Penta‘s reach and capabilities in marine electromobility.
