Global warming could have favored the wally whale to be lost in the waters of Mallorca, according to scientists
Wally is a young specimen, about two years old, eight meters long and seven or eight tons in weight.
At the Palma Aquarium they warn that “the health of the whale is at a point of no return”.
The gray whale found this Thursday in Santa Ponça (Mallorca) was last seen last night when it seemed that it was entering the bay of Palma.
The navigators were notified so that if they spotted the animal they would report it. A rescue helicopter has requested a search from the air across the bay, for the moment the animal has not been seen again.
It would be a Pacific gray whale that had been seen in the Mediterranean for weeks, very far from the waters where it lives (the coast of Korea and the United States).
