PalmaVela 2020 Regatta definitively canceled.

The 17th PalmaVela, scheduled for 2020 on its usual dates of May and later relocated in the calendar to the fourth week of October, is definitively postponed to 2021 due to health responsibility, as happened with the Copa del Rey MAPFRE in August.

The Organizing Committee headed by Emerico Fuster, president of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, today announced the decision after weighing the different options for organization and participation. “For us, both as a club and as an organization and after 16 uninterrupted years of celebration, this has been a very thoughtful decision, but above all it has always been on our minds to guarantee the health of our members, our employees, athletes and, in consequently, of the entire Mallorcan society ”, said Emerico Fuster.

In turn, the president of the club wanted to summon all the participants and fans to 2021: “The postponement of the 17th edition to 2021 already puts us in motion for next year, so that together we can celebrate this edition with more enthusiasm than never. Without a doubt, 2021 will be a special year and, as I said when we postponed the Copa del Rey MAPFRE, it will remind us of our responsibility as a society in the face of a global health problem that together, I hope, we will have managed to overcome “.

The 17th PalmaVela will be held between May 6 and 9, 2021.
