EEGLE, an all-electric trawler from BYD Group
BYD Group presents a new “sustainable design” proposal for a fully electric yacht. The EEGLE will be a reality soon.
Naval architecture and engineering firm BYD Group presents its new fully electric 20 meter trawler style motor yacht.
Designed to be the perfect coastal cruiser, the EEGLE combines the space and comfort of a 20 meter long yacht.
With robust exterior lines and a vertical stem for better performance, the EEGLE has a draft of only 0.89 meters and reaches top speeds of 20 knots.
The first unit of this “green” yacht, currently under construction, is expected to be delivered soon.
The EEGLE’s 600kWh batteries give the yacht a range of up to 80 miles when traveling in purely electric ‘green’ mode, while the four 150kW motors deliver up to 20 knots of speed.
At 30 square meters, the hardtop solar panels on the flyingbridge can generate up to 9 kWh of additional power.
You can opt for the peace of mind of a fuel tank and extended range generator system to increase the range up to 1,000 miles at 7.5 knots of speed.
The living room offers the kind of interior living space that with the breadth of its entire sleeve, and huge windows and prisms to flood with natural light.

The flybridge is a multifunctional space, with an “L” -shaped sofa and bar located behind the command post, while a “C” -shaped sofa and convertible table are located in the front.
The aft of the terrace has a large open space large enough for three sun loungers.
The foredeck is a special place among the guests on board. Offers great private views from a large, sumptuous sundeck and comfortable seating.
The EEGLE foredeck has been designed with the option of having a Jacuzzi in this space. The garage, accessed from the large swim platform at the stern, has space for a motorboat or two jet skis.
The yacht’s accommodation is for up to six people and is located on the lower deck. The spacious owner’s cabin that occupies the entire beam is a one suite.
