SailGP – Störtebeker

SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, has agreed a new partnership with Störtebeker for the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix.
The Stralsund-based brewer will be the Exclusive Beer Supplier across the Race Stadium, when it returns to Sassnitz on August 22-23, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Störtebeker is a globally-renowned, award-winning brewery – including gold at the World Beer Cup, World Beer Awards and European Beer Star. To mark the partnership, they have also developed a special SailGP x Stortëbeker packaging range.
The Rolex SailGP Championship returns to Sassnitz after a sold-out debut event in 2025, which saw Denmark’s ROCKWOOL Racing set the SailGP speed record, racing at 103.93km/h.
The race is the ninth stop in the 2026 Season, and every point will count when 13 international teams compete to put themselves in position to make it to the championship Grand Final in November, including the home side – Germany Sail GP Team presented by Deutsche Bank, led by driver Erik Kosegarten-Heil.
Charlie Dewhurst, Chief Commercial Officer at SailGP, said: “Sassnitz is a hugely-popular stop on the SailGP calendar, a favourite with both fans and teams, and it looks set to be another sold-out event.
“Störtebeker is an ideal event partner for us. An internationally acclaimed, local business with a rich heritage and reputation throughout Germany. We look forward to working with them on this event and giving our fans the best race weekend experience possible on and off the water.”
Jürgen Nordmann, Chief Executive Officer at Störtebeker, said:“SailGP brings top-class sport, a spirit of innovation, and international flair to the Baltic coast – values that align perfectly with Störtebeker. That is why we are delighted to be part of this unique event in Sassnitz as the official race beer. Together, we create memorable moments – both on the water and on land – and welcome guests from around the world to our homeland.”
