Germán Frers, Mani Frers
The two renowned Argentine designers, who reside in Italy, have partnered to design production yachts. “But we will continue to manage our own independent studios.”
Germán Frers and his son Mani have begun a collaboration in the field of production yacht design.
Although both have run independent businesses for several years (the father has two offices, one in Buenos Aires and the other in Milan), they have regularly collaborated on projects and shared ideas.
“Formalizing this cooperation,” they explain, “serves to create a solid framework that allows for the continued development of successful product ranges for several leading brands in the nautical industry.”
The alliance is already conducting a series of preliminary design studies, applying shared principles to the next generation of yachts.
“This collaboration allows us to work together in a sector where long-term planning and development are essential,” says Mani.
Germán adds: “Collaborating closely with Mani deepens an already stimulating and challenging dialogue, and opens up new possibilities where experience and perspective enrich each other.”
At the same time, both Germán and Mani will continue to run their own independent studios, working with private clients on custom sailing yachts, superyachts, and advanced engineering projects.
In Mani’s case, this includes, among others, the 85-meter New World sloop, currently under construction at Royal. Huisman
