Barcelona J70 Winter Series
Barcelona hosts the fourth series of the Barcelona J70 Winter Series with nearly 30 international teams
Barcelona, 11 December 2025.. – The Catalan capital becomes, once again, a meeting point for international sailing this weekend with the fourth series of the Barcelona J70 International Winter Series, organised by the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona. The event will gather nearly 30 teams from 10 countries —Hungary, Portugal, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Lithuania and Spain— reaffirming Barcelona’s status as one of Europe’s leading hubs for the J70 class.
After the first three series held since September, HSN Sailing Team (RCNB/RCNGC) leads the provisional standings with 64 points, followed by Bodega Can Marlès (CN Vilanova), arriving at this event with 82 points. Let it Be (RCN Dénia) holds third place with 138 points, while Correa Kessler sits in fourth position with 140 points, continuing to climb steadily. Noticia stands in fifth place with a total of 198 points.
The season will continue with three additional events that will complete the Winter Series in January, February and March, the latter coinciding with the first event of the Barcelona Spring Series. With growing international participation and a consolidated organisational structure, Barcelona reinforces its role as one of Europe’s strategic centres for competitive sailing —a projection that will reach its peak in July 2026, when the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona hosts the J70 European Championship. Meanwhile, J70 activity also continues in the Ría de Vigo, where the Galician fleet will hold the third act of the Atlantic Winter Series this weekend.
The Barcelona Winter Series 2025–2026 are organised by the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona, with the support of Renting Ribs and the collaboration of the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Spanish J70 Class Association, the Catalan Sailing Federation, Estrella Damm and Veri.
