The Maxi Edmond de Rothschild crossed the equator this Friday, January 15 at 3:48:32 p.m., after 5 days 13 hours 14 minutes and 46 seconds at sea.
This does not allow the team to beat the absolute record in the Ushant / Equator section, set by Spindrift Racing in 4 days 19 hours 57 minutes.
However, it will travel to the southern hemisphere six hours before the reference time of IDEC Sport, holder of the Jules Verne Trophy.
