32 International Palamós Optimist Trophy canceled due to COVID-19
The regatta was to be held from February 18 to 21 with 450 registered boats
Due to the current situation of the global pandemic caused by Covid19, the Organizing Committee of the International Vila Palamós Optimist Trophy 2021, officially announces the cancellation of the 2021 edition, which had scheduled to be held from February 18 to 21. After 32 editions, this year, exceptionally, the organization has been forced to make this difficult decision.
The constant increase in infections, the prospect of rebounding in the coming weeks, as well as the mobility restrictions and the new health measures that may be extended soon, would have prevented the normal development of the regatta.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to host our annual meeting in Palamós next February, but the Palamós Optimist Trophy team will continue to work so that we can meet again next year.
In the coming weeks we will proceed to refund the registration fees to the same credit card with which the payment was made. Thank all the registered participants and their coaches for their trust and enthusiasm and we hope to see you all in Palamós from February 16 to 20, 2022.
